Grants & Operations Officer

Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a full-time (38 hours/week) Grants & Operations Officer to work together with us in the implementation of grant-based projects and applications for grants in the fields of active citizenship, non-formal education and entrepreneurship. The work will be fully remote, however you should be based in Brussels, as you will be required to attend in-person meetings from time to time (on average six times a month).


About us

Junior Enterprises Europe (JEE) is the European Confederation responsible for representing all the Junior Enterprises in the continent, bringing together over 35000 students across 17 countries in a Network that generates a cumulative turnover of 19M€. 

JEE helps students build professional skills through real business experience. This experience teaches students to work think creatively and make a difference. The organisation partners with different institutions and other stakeholders to create projects, events and policies that generate impact. We work with partners to make sure these projects help students gain skills, as students learn by doing.

Responsibilities

  • Research on grant opportunities;
  • Assisting the board and the Project Officer with project drafting and implementation (grant writing, logistics and content);
  • Stakeholder management (e.g. NGOs, European institutions);
  • Seeking new relevant public funding opportunities and private corporate partnerships;
  • Assisting in general project management and reporting for active grants;
  • Organise dissemination events within our network;

Must Have

  • Minimum 1 year of proven experience in European grant management and fundraising including a track record of successful grant applications;
  • Demonstrated experience across the full project lifecycle: Grant writing, implementation, and reporting;
  • Strong knowledge of European funding schemes (e.g. Erasmus+, European Youth Foundation, European Parliament programmes);
  • Ability to independently identify funding opportunities and convert them into high-quality, competitive proposals;
  • Excellent command of English (C1);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and collaborative tools (e.g. Google Workspace);
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines;
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, international NGO environment;
  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of French or Dutch;
  • Experience with non-formal education;
  • Prior engagement in youth NGOs or other NGOs at national/European level is highly valued.
  • Available to start June 1st.
